Like we defending the last base with 2 nan3's hiding behind it and they had to to restock their bomber 2 times before they finally blow it up. The comments were priceless when the base held with 0.00001% health and they had to go home to resupply. Twice!

Sounds really fine! :mrtank:

I think around 2008/2009 there were frequent huge battles. From time to time there even was a sector overload, meaning too many players in one sector. Hard to miss: the alarm sound was very loud :) If you stayed in that sector damage was increasing to the point your ship being destroyed.

My squad was a good mix. I wasn't a good player, but I had one advantage. I spotted enemy movements. So the "hunters" would destroy them. All this under the leadership of a commander which knew the game tactics very well.

I've never been good at dogfighing either, but I know how to lower my sig and keep just out of eye range. (At least on the old cores, I feel like I'm just off on the current ones.)

Sadly, it doesn't help too much on small games.
It's all about learning from your mistakes, and boy have I learned alot.

Mcwarren came to mind right away. He was pretty good!
