Viewport pointing at a wrong direction. Game unplayable

Hi,

So downloaded the game from steam, jumped in and things were flying all weird. Remapped keys and still couldn't control the ship. Took me a while to realise that the viewport was pointing front-rightish. This was the same in external, chase and inside views. No keymap to front view, so couldn't try to force it.

Restarted the client. No difference. Any suggestions?

My best guess is that you have a controller plugged in which is causing issues.

Aaarrggh! It's my 3d Mouse that needs calibration every half an hour. Facepalm of shame.

This is what one gets when one breaks the rule of no games on the work computer.

with this game, i generally find that the @#(!tier the mouse, the better the game performs. something to do with third party mouse controls.

I had the exact same problem and Wasp walked me through a fix.
In the keymapping scroll to the very bottom where the joystick key mapping is located.
Where you see "Hat" and "Hat as buttons, delete the values beside both of those and hit accept.
That fix worked for me.
