You remembered the moron part accurately, but missed everything else.

I was referring to a pilot's first experience where they already know what to do (fly), they just need small steps to learn HOW to do it. We've all seen war movies, we know what aircraft are for, we know all about air to air combat, ground attacks, bombing, strafing, sides & objectives. So, when we buy that IL-2 game, all we need is the skill to fly, the rest is clear as can be.

In the case of Allegiance, the new player doesn't know what to do, much less how to do it. We need a video that is interesting to watch, takes only 2 minutes to fully explain the game to the viewer so that they know what the hell is going on. We have enough videos showing flying techniques, but not a single video explaining the game's objective.

The video needs to eliminate the "what am I supposed to do" problem.

You're a moron because you're trying to instill side thrusting techniques in a pilot that doesn't even know what's going on.

I'm trying to create a video tutorial series that can help new players get up to speed. The first videos will be basics like logging in. Later videos will show techniques of how to best do things. There will be videos in between. I have been advocating this for years. You are the only one who doesn't seem to understand. It's probably cuz you're a genius.

A video about logging in?....srsly?

You need a video for that?...then one that shows "how to best do things"?

You have no grasp on the situation whatsoever.

The process for joining a game in Allegiance is different than most. First you launch the program. Then you press "join games." Then "current games listings." Then highlight a server. If you want to launch a game to practice flying and there's no one else around, you have to know how to create an empty server and disable a team. Those steps are non-intuitive. All of this has to be done BEFORE you have the opportunity to do ANYTHING ELSE if there's not a game on.

Your grasp on the situation is like your skill in Allegiance: massively overstated.

So complex, it's a wonder anyone ever made it online. You've clearly got a grasp on this one.
