While working on organizing the HD textures, I found that although the ICONS for tech rocks show Si to be green and C to be purple, the textures are how shall I put it?
Not quite in agreement...
The default rocks are both purple.
Yes, both rocks are purple in a vanilla install.
In the HD pack the Si is purple and C is green.
The rock textures for Belter and Giga Sup and Tac are also "wrong".
GT Tac is "right" meaning green.
I actually talked to Peter "repete" Arisman and he had no idea...
I suggested that maybe the icons are the ones that got switched but he can't remember anything.
In my mind, it makes sense that Carbon was supposed to be green and Silicon purple, seeing how we associate carbon with life.
Silicon is a metallic looking crystal (it's not metal OFC) and can sometimes look purplish.
Anyway:
Of course Silicon is green in our minds now, the icons rule, they rule so much none of us ever noticed the rocks are lying.
I think the HD textures should fix the discrepancy, but OFC if anyone wants to, we can always have an alternate version, for all I care you can have them painted black with white stripes and white with black stripes.
