You need more guns Globey, not fewer.

Where the hell has gun control ever lead to fewer gun related deaths?

Are these democrats you speak of hard of understanding?

Imagine giving everyone at college a gun to protect themselves. What could possibly go wrong?

Just need more and bigger guns...

When the army phrases out the M1A2, the tanks get hand over to the police departments. ;)

Reason: Only Marines using M1A1

Excellent idea pkk.

There must be fields full of F4 Phantoms going to waste. Nothing says home defence like a Sidewinder,

Discussion is futile when the only reply you get is "it's my right to own a gun".

I can understand in 1776 you could encounter a wild bear or so, shoot a deer or buffalo to stay alive in the harsh wilderness.

My "right" to own a gun presumes that I have given someone the "right" to dictate my "rights".

Gun ownership is demanded by those who recognize the difference between power and rights. When a gun is in use, rights are less meaningful and power comes to the forefront.

when will F15 leave the service? I want one of those.
I prefer Su-27 and MiG-29 but it seems that those will be still in service after my time :P

PKK, gold is not in the constitutional but bear arms is

guns and ammo price go up almost as fast as gold, colt .45 cal use to cost 550.00 now you can find the same one cost as much as 1,200.00 dollars
in the near future it will go up to 2,000 dollars.

Hey djole

Longevity doesn't mean it is superior, reference the AK47.

You will almost certainly be dead before the last F15 is decommissioned as they are still being built and upgrades are still going on. You are welcome to like anything you want and for any reason of course.

The designator you use are many years old to help you out. If I claimed the F15A was bestest evah would be the equivalent to using the pretty crappie SU27 which while 20 years younger was a bit of a kludge when the USSR first put them in service. The sexy as $#@! MIG29, IIRC, has gotten spanked hard by the fat girl SU27 in actual combat. Results are suspect given the countries involved imho. The later and much much improved versions have different NATO applied numbers... and what I assume you refer to in your post.

You can buy any of the planes you mentioned with the caveat being the first version, A, for the F15 is the only ones I know of but a surprising number of very modern versions of the Russian planes are in the hand of private collectors, including US citizens fwiw.

Remember the bits and pieces you strap on is generally the most significant factor on who goes home and who buys the farm.
