Sersioulsy?!
R8 was announced two years ago, and FROM the start, Cort ui was proposed to be implemented.
(cort ui was available years beforehand).
You had ample time to chime in and state your mind about the changes if you didn't like them.
If you actually Spent some time researching the changes that were done You could have said "hey turkeyXII i dont like it".
But then you come whining at me because of A $#@!ING LAYOUT CHANGE?!
YES GETUSED TO IT!
You should be thanking djole who coded all this.

I refuse to reveal who he is directing that to on the grounds it might incriminate that person. :o

1st no need to thank me as we're all in this together, also I'm not the only one that worked on this

about the asteroids bug: I was pretty sure I fixed it
I need to know if the joiners, after the base has been built, of the side that had its base in the asteroid could see the asteroid or the base?

Other points (including the necessity to change the res) are cort ui features, so roll up your sleeves and rewrite those mdls if you want to fix it.

Also I'm officially looking to push out R8 asap and then I'll work exclusively on alleg2.

I could only see enemy bases in asteroids. It was not all of them, but most of them.

Our bases were not encased by asteroids.

1)If you arent capable of receive an opinion, alright, I thought you were better than that
2)I am not requesting anything different of this, because to me everything else is positive. nonetheless its something that have to be done eventually, and as it is, just feels like i am playing something incomplete even if graphics are better. i have my doubts about if the best decition is to relase it incomplete. i would edit those mdl files myself if i could but i have other immediate things to attend.
3) I am grateful to the people that did and do work for the game and the comunity, so dont talk feces right there :mrtank:

Really? I use it so little that I don't have any of those buttons memorized. I thought most people were the same.

Also, another bug, box and I both crashed whenever we changed the HUD to Software- Callity or whatever its called. But strangely not when the HUD is changed in the main menu.

Having those two buttons so close together is inviting mis-clicks that make you re-load @#(! all over again. That feature was added to Cort UI in,like 2005.

When re-configuring you're machine speed is critical in this game, having to do it 2 or 3 times because you clicked too close to "default load-out" is BS!

See if this solves your issue.

Warning! The following section or part of it requires you to change the Windows Registry.
This operation is potentially destructive and needs to be carried out with great care. If you are not very confident with Windows, you may want to consider alternative methods, if available.

If you are using Windows XP or older, select "Run" in your Start menu, typing regedit, and hitting Enter.
If you are using Vista or newer, press the Windows button, type regedit and hit Enter.
1. Make a backup of your registry by selecting Export from the File menu. In the dialog that pops up, navigate to or create a folder to save the backup to, and make note of it. Make sure you have the Everything radio-button checked at the bottom of the dialog. Click OK and wait for the backup to finish.
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Allegiance\1.2.
Running on 64bit? Navigate instead to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Allegiance\1.2.

3. Double click on the CombatFullscreenXSize key, switch the radio button to decimal and enter the horizontal resolution you noted down (The first number in the two. For example, 1680 in 1680x1050.). Hit OK.
4. Now double click on CombatFullscreenYSize and, after changing the radio button to decimal again, enter the vertical resolution. Hit OK.
5. Double check your values and close the registry editor.
6. Close the registry editor.

Otherwise there is no way to fix it aside un$#@!ing the mdl. but they are a blocky, complicated programmaing language.
I apologize for the rant, but my hands are tied here.
1024x648 may not be best for you, so try and cycle trough the ones avalable, and see if you can find a sweetspot.
