GG, congratulations on winning the tournament on a strong finish!

It still would have taken a lot of effort to end it with the massive con pushes and hvy int brawls that make alleg fun, but apparently you felt like pouting because you lost a miner.
So at the end of the game the situation was:
* 0 reg miners vs 4 adv miners
* ~2 he rocks in sectors owned by us vs a decent amount of $$$ at 2 sectors away from our closest base
* no viable sup or tac rock for us

That doesn't leave us many options of pursuing a win. We could have maybe gotten HTTS in 20 minutes or so, but that's 20 minutes where you would be mining pretty much full speed. The game was over in the sense that nothing we could do would have a viable chance of success. I personally don't enjoy fighting just to see how long I can fend off an inevitable defeat. But for the record, I voted N since it still wasn't painfully obvious to everyone how big your advantage was. I would probably have posted the resign myself 20 minutes later, if you hadn't finished us by then.

Still, it was a good game, hope to play more games like that in the future!

What about Drizzo? Vogue was already banned :P

vogue wrote:QUOTE (vogue @ Nov 23 2014, 10:39 PM) Dome and FAO,

I'm making this reply in hopes that something will change for our community. Too long have we seen malcontents push and prod good, honest people to their limit causing them to hang up the game and move onto other things. Too long have we had nuisances ruin games, verbally accost people, and feed their sick, twisted desires at the expense of some of the pillars of this community. We've seen a few of them go, and I think it's time to add another one to exclusive club of perma-ban status.

I am talking, of course, about Phantom032.

I thought myself to be Phantoms's friend you know. We played games outside of Allegiance together. We got to know each other on a first name basis. I thought he was cool. I was so very wrong. Individuals like Phantom do nothing but breed on chaos and feast on the harm they cause to others. I was so stupid and blind to not have seen it from the start.

As some people know, Phantom was kicked out of Zenith for violating the one rule Lord Dome bestowed upon the squad: play like @#(!. Phantom verbally berated and abused multiple members of Zenith, the most prominent of which was when he lashed out at Kumquat for 15 minutes making Kumquat cry. Kumquat did not deserve such treatment, and FAO does not deserve a scourge like Phantom032. In every squad game, Phantom constantly challenged Dome's authority to the point where Dome had to remove him from Zenith's private mumble server.

I understand he has been thinking of joining End Game or Element, so this is my warning to you Alaskan and Thallium. You've bitten off more than you can chew. Phantom032 is the cancer that is killing allegiance. He is on par with Mastametz, guns22, and virus. We must cut this off at the head, before it has a chance to fester and drive out more of our shallow community.

I implore you, Dome. Take action. Don't hesitate.

-Vogue

Interesting considering I wasn't even at the game because I had pushed everything off for last weeks game. Ya know, the one Xexy was supposed to show up to the first time. Anyways, troll on.

Oh, this also is not the first squad game resigned by far. May be the first tournament final resigned though.

Trolled.
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.

I know that hindsight is 20/20 but I feel like you guys went on the back foot too early. You had the raw talent to be able to push a con and instead of relying on KingJ/P032 to kill miners in tandem (let's face it, we knew that they're going to spend the game trying to do that and adjusted accordingly although the fact they even got 1 was slightly vexing), give you a point from which you could allocate more people to miner O. That's all we did in a nutshell. We had 3 points to hit every sector you had access to he3 in. After that it was just a matter of execution.

Speaking honestly though, I expected our run to end last weekend. As much as there was humming and hawing about our roster, I always considered you guys to have stronger overall execution/pilot ability while our strength was a superior chain of command.

All in all, fun times were had. The community will be pleased to know that some members of Xexy have taken up my open offer, that has been up since day 1 mind you, to join other squads. As long as the drama is quality, we should still be around for the next event. Eventually our inactivity will catch up with us, and some active group will be able to take us down and shut us up.

Until then, enjoy getting schooled by people who only play this game on Sunday, suckas.

Also a fairly interesting parallel, Dome and P032 is reminiscent of Dome's squabble with Night; although now I see Dome becoming what he once hated.

I guess all things come full circle.

DOME HOW COULD YOU?!!?!?

I TRUSTED YOU AND YOU RESIGNED THE MOST IMPORTANT SQUADGAME

I have no problem with Dome. Dome did not start the vote for resign, and in the end everyone is responsible for only their own vote and no other. So even if Dome voted yes there were at least 5 other people who did the same (vote ended 6v5+ some abstain), and thats large enough part of the squad that blaming one person, even the one who started it, would be stupid.

I'll be thinking what exactly it is I want from a squad now, then start talking with the different SLs and see where I would fit best.
Still ready to teach anyone who asks nicely whatever they want to know about playing alleg. Contrary to popular opinion I do not eat newbies. Voobs taste much better.
