It'd be a fair claim if I actually cared to keep the game alive. I'm not trying to keep the game alive. I'm just saying that you've made your bed and now you must sleep in it.

But if you're trying to say that it'd take some time, yeah it will. But if you'd rather stew in your $#@! than try to get out, well you're not gonna get anywhere.

Alleg had a good run. I've been "predicting" Alleg's death for years now, but it's somewhat comforting to see that everybody has sort of accepted its fate. It's OK that its dead. We had a great time with it, but it's time to move on. We've got a great resurgence in Space Sims coming up here with Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous, so it's a great time to say farewell to Allegiance and maybe transition the community to another game. I'd love to fly in Star Citizen or Elite with all of you... could be a lot of fun, and we could get back to enjoying a game together instead of just bitching at each other on a message board ;)

No, after that... I don't care enough to dig up the forum drama that ensued.

Elzam/Bacon: What I don't understand is why you would even make posts, saying "Allegiance is dead, move on." The people who play do so because they enjoy it and don't want to move on, so you're not helping anybody. And if you don't want to play you don't have to. What do you have to gain from convincing pkk/TE to shut down the servers and call it a day?

I only came to make a snide remark. Having me expound upon why it's dead and how to fix it is your fault.

Go and read the core forums and waste some more time on a dead game.
Or install and log in to play some dead games where i am commanding.

I cant code, and as a player whos ping sucks i shouldnt even be bothering with this game.

I shouldnt have to post any response to a someone who can see injustices and expects someone else to fix them instead of grabbing the bull by the horns.

I personally am accepting of the game and the community and its flaws. So i contribute by wasting about 8 hours of my week commanding games no matter how small or stacked to allow people to enjoy themselves.

Become a man and instead of questioning others about their commitment or failures, set an example yourself or just go away. Dont be a blamer...be a doer or die trying.

And in respect of those who have fallen trying to keep this game going. All their commitment was for something and you dishonour their effort with your whingy moaning about they failed. It may not what we wanted in the end for this game, but they had the balls to try and fail, instead of bitching. In fact, i suspect people like you helped their demise and made them realise their effort wouldnt be appreciated anyway.

I certainly dont go back to the opflashpoint.org website and complain that the staff their allowed the game to die when they game it @#(!load more life that it would have had without them.

I'm not gonna waste 8 hours of my life a week to resuscitate this game. And, believe it or not, a long time ago I actually volunteered to help with ZGs and other organized events. You know what it was met with? "Your public image sucks, we don't want your help". You don't want or need my help, that's fine. But don't ask me to help now that the fish is in the toilet and your finger accidentally brushed the lever the wrong way to make it flush. Don't expect my help at all now. I'm just gonna sit on my mat and laugh as I watch the rest of this game crumble.

Why even do that?

Why not $#@! off and find something better to do with your time instead of writing repetitive walls of texts about a game you don't care about to a community you don't like?

Were you that badly psychologically affected when you played that it left scars?

Or do you just have no real meaning to your life in general and this is literally all you have?

Because I'm bored. Don't worry though. I'm about done here. You're getting to be more boring than the spectra lab I'm doing on Oxygen.
