Zone Game Saturday October 5th
SGT (3pm EDT)

Draconium vs Iron Coalition

Start Transmission:

It is the year 2200 we are in month 10 on day 1 and I am DNA_IcedNova reporting from that place in space. I must say I am quite pleased to see The Flux getting their mechanical brainy behinds whooped like it did. This is a report from the Draconium Commander picked up via the infonet about the battle that took place, I think the Draco's wanted us to know that, this is how they roll.

QUOTE We arrived in the area and quickly set up a forward outpost. I tried to set up a forward teleref too but it was attacked and destroyed by a flux scouting party. This is when I realised that the flux were closer than our initial intel. I set our miners to work and built an expansion. I also chose to build an outpost in the fluxes expansion sector which proved vital later on.

I order another outpost to be built so we could expand our mining area, unknown to us the flux had already expanded to the sector and another constructor was lost. With the pilots losing morale I made a decision to finish them once and for all. Our miners were under constant pressure from the flux forces but our defenders prevailed and they survived long enough to get us advanced technology and bombers.

At this point the pilots were scattered and I was lacking the ability to discipline properly, I did not give up, with one almighty cry I rallied the pilots and ordered 3 bombers and its support crew to attack the flux expansion. I only got two bombers but one of them was driven by djrbk most definitely the best pilot I had that day. We fired everything at the expansion and it eventually blew, scattering the remaining flux forces. We tried to give chase but they soon disappeared into space.[/quote]

There it is peoples an eyewitness account of the battle that took place, while the dracos were set back they were not discouraged, under the command of a newly appointed commander after the victory the dracos filled the radio waves with the chants of a new super commander they said he was a super comm even though it was his first real trial they named him ubernoob.

Having heard of the swift defeat of the flux the coalition big boys again attempted to contact Lord Admiral Drake but got no reply. Slightly worried that draconium could be a rival to their human dominance in space the coalition move their assault fleet towards the Draconium fleet.

I know and you know that the flux are not usually defeated so easily, so was this a test? A trap?
Who will be punished next by Draconium?

No worries, don't be a fool and stay cool like IcedNova.
