Instead of buying a good one i bought a toshiba. Now it makes strange noises... like sand.
what should i do?
I think i take a steel saw and open it and look inside.
Data is not important. It was only used for backup.
USB HD makes sandy noises.
A HDD shouldn't make sound sound like sand, sounds like a broken ball bearing or the read/write head has contact to the disk(s).
If the HDD isn't older than six months, go the to store and get a new for exchange. I think you remember, that the seller has to prove the product isn't broken. If it's older, good luck.

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
Thank you for calling San Disk tech support, please answer the following questions in order for me to get a better idea of the problem:
1) Have you tried turning it off and on?
2) Have you been to a beach recently?
3) Am I uguu?
