the lawsuit may be bollocks at first appearance but you will see more and more of this - thanks to the governments "reforms", support for officers who have been injured on duty (especially if such injuries are serious / have a long lasting effect) are nowhere near what they once were. add to that the continual abuse of even the existing terms and conditions by management, and agri is sorry to say that almost all of the bacon is very annoyed at present.HSharp wrote:QUOTE (HSharp @ Apr 1 2013, 12:28 AM) your frivolous lawsuits have inspired magnificent legal cases in Britain

Sometimes I get really annoyed with the police, some drunk smashed up my car with a shovel in the middle of the day and was caught fairly quickly and the police didn't even charge him, I felt like smashing up a few police cars but I would probably get jail time and it would just be my own tax money to pay to fix the police cars.
Of course this is just an individual police officer acting as a citizen but I just felt like ranting at the police anyway.
Still nice to know if I am ever short of money I can go trip over some kerb.

Bring back debtors prison! Anyway my point isn't even the financial cost incurred by me but the fact that this guy literally got a token slap on the wrist, this is a person who has done similar behavior in the past and this isn't accidental property damage, I would have expected maybe some token jail time or putting him on tighter benefits so he doesn't spend all his unemployment welfare on booze.DonKarnage wrote:QUOTE (DonKarnage @ Apr 1 2013, 12:43 AM) If someone causes property damage, and aren't able to pay for it, is it ok to enslave them for some purposes until they work to pay it off?![]()
Is it ok for someone to cause property damage on purpose and get away free?
I am tempted to start up a twat-insurance company which will help sort out the legal side when twats do stuff to you so they can be sued for their twat-ish behaviour, example in this thread would be counter-suing PC Tripped-Over Kerb.
