also please note that not one-shotting some copicidal maniac who has stated and demonstrated that he will kill you and your colleagues does not usually equate to "sloppy, sloppy, sloppy police work" - that usually consists of flirting with victims of crime, not investigating burglaries properly or being caught discussing uganda with colleagues.

About the cops and stuff, I don't care who you are, you shouldn't burn someone alive. It's considered inhumane, even in WAR (thus the lack of flame-throwers in the military).
The purpose of police is not to kill. It is to apprehend those suspected of crime so that they can be judged either by an Honorable Judge-person who has a degree in judging stuff, or by a bunch of judgmental peers. I guess Police also give out tickets and @#(!, and tell me I can't drive without insurance, and tail me like ass-holes making me think I'm doing something wrong when I'm getting head on the highway.
