Sadly I will be out and about during the game today sadface. However, it appears the new launcher doesn't cause my game to crash, so I'll be hopping on a few times. Might even bring a few ppl with me to help grow the base. I got them to play Natural Selection 2, and this is just a more complex and deep NS.
See you in-game!
Yum
P.S. I'm accepting all challenges to 1v1 DM. Please feel free to PM me in game and let me know if you're interested
Tonight we had some great games, thanks Dome and everyone else for this.
Seeing 30 ppl launch in the begining brought tears to my eyes :')
`yt
PS. And leaderboard jumped from 110 to 155, so thanks to those 45 that came

The most I saw was 50 something. It was good to remember old times, but honestly if we expect to keep this, we really need to change the culture of just one main, or playing 1x1 teams.

We should sign up 4 comms prior to the event. Then we can either do both the two teamers we did, an allied 4 teamer or have two games going simultaneously. There is enough time to get at least 3-4 games in before people start to log off.
Want bigger games? Log on to play at the official game time: 9pmET/8pmCT/7pmMT/6pmPT every day of the week. Also Saturdays 8pm UTC.
This is where trophies or badges or something would work. Who ever comms the monthly "event" game to victory get's the Comm of the month badge...or a box of chocolates.
I agree that we should have predetermined comms for events. I know its difficult to organize Commander Carnage style events, but I still think its why most people show up. Friday Night Fight worked for a bit until people started saying "Hey! there's no difference between FNF and regular friday night alleg. This is all just a scam!". These are probably the same people who are convinced that currency should be backed by gold, but the point remains that we should always have planned comms and/or some other gimmick.
I'd offer to comm if I was any good. Maybe we should have a Wednesday and Friday comm tournament? We could do a bracket competition between comms with pick up teams.
