Viru, how do you fly the damn things? Joystick control is horribly implemented, but dragging the mouse around endlessly sucks as well. Do you just ignore the flying stuff and focus on the other action?

The only time I killed anything while flying was crashing into a liberator. Even tanks don't seem that great to control but my god there are a lot of people who can't predict trajectory.

Overall game seems a bit meh. There is no real victory and no real defeat so just seems like a giant circle jerk.

i almost exclusively fly

having your mouse sensitivity up really high makes it much easier to manage, but not so high that it's difficult to aim at things.

other than that, practice practice practice practice

How do you map the controls for flying?

bind your cockpit freelook to something easy (default is mouse3), change your afterburner (shift) and utility slot (x) binds if you wish

you can't rebind roll/yaw/pitch at all, so just get used to the controls for that

Would you say to not bother flying without missiles anyway? It seems pointless without them. At least in single pilot fighters.

+1

Though I suppose capturing a key objective could be considered a win. But yeah there is no win/loss like there is in say counterstrike, TF2, L4D.

I played a few hours ago and it seemed like my squad were the only players on the whole server. Captured lots of stations and only seeing 1 or 2 enemies, was really quite weird. I started looking for fights but all over the frontline there was no action at all, my only deaths were twice when the guy driving the sunderer took us off a cliff.

Much prefer Alleg, easy to see where the action is.
