Wow... that England game was a heck of a match. Game of the competition so far in my book. Though part of me wanted to see Mellberg get a hat-trick :D Well done Roy for bringing Walcott on, and what the heck were the pundits on at half time, they were dissing Sweden so much, just like Gerrard did the other day! There is not a huge difference in quality between the two teams, especially without Rooney. Mind you, without Rooney they still scored 2 fantastic goals. What a brilliant back-heel from Wellbeck.

So the final group games start today (make sure your predictions are in, people!). There are so many possible permutations as a result of head-to-head results counting as a tie-breaker before goal difference does. Thankfully the BBC have listed all the permutations, a good reference source.

And congratulations to Moorish for reaching the top of the table, after being 14th after the first phase. Well deserved after an awesome 2nd phase - 69 points out of a possible 80. :notworthy:

I just love how things heat up at the end of the group stages and they actually play the game with passion. You could really see how both sides tried their very best until the last minute and it made for such an entertaining game to watch.

And yea what a great goal by Wellbeck in the end! :iluv:

Also something that really impressed me was all those Irish fans singing so loudly and standing by their team even though they got so utterly outplayed by Spain. That must have been an incredible atmosphere in the stadium and it really makes me want to see an Irish victory in their last game.

I'm sure the Irish can get their flag victory with another team than Italy :P

I really really hope Ireland can take at least 2 points from Italy. It would make me really happy.
