- Getting two extensions on my honor's thesis because I played allegiance too much
- Reaching Vet 1 then 2 and enjoying the perks then a couple of weeks later being dropped to Int. 11 because a new formula came into being
- Playing allegiance during a very boring conference on the hotel wifi, and not wanting to leave my seat after the speaker finished
- PUGs with Champy

I actually think things are on the up-swing here and it will continue.

Drop in for some PUGs ye-old-croaks so that we can get more kills. Just don't forget your bi-focals. :poke:
Blah blah blah blah (breath) blah blah blah blah (breath) oh, what was this thread about again......

Mind....blown....

For the clueless (I suspect there are a few by now)
1-Launch Allegiance
2-Hit Credits
3-Wait ~12 seconds.

I remember moving into the dorms before the NAT code would allow me to play. I remember the first time the beta server updated to fix the issue after what seemed like years... I had joined ACE but had yet to play a game with them, and they moved a whole Squad Game to the beta server just so I could play... I commanded the game and we lost to GB :(.

Didn't lose too many more games as ACE commander after that... culminating in the victory over XT to end their longest squad win streak ever™...

I remember joining the game when I was 15 years old right after Rix was released... I managed to sit on top of the rankings for Rix Base Kills (I was so proud) until my free month ran out and I was forced to the FZ. That's where people really took me under their wing and I learned to play.

I grew up with Allegiance. From age 15 - 23 I spent more hours forum whoring and playing the game than I'd care to admit. To me what always made it special was that we had such a diverse and intelligent community... I've shared some pretty formative moments with complete strangers over those years and really love all the "characters" I've met.

Its fun to me to see guys that were around my age end up where they end up (Spidey and Bacon come to mind). I really hope that whatever happens to the game, there's a central place we can all check-in, because I'd still love to have a beer with any of ya'll.
