Progressive freely takes their insurance bribery money crap out of my bank account. This is good as I am too absent-minded and scatter-brained in general to remember to pay my bills, which I am under the impression I need to pay, otherwise I wouldn't specifically con and rob people out of their money so that I may put it in my own pocket.
At the time (being several days ago) I realized that I was dirt poor, yet the payment was scheduled to come out the next day. After working my godforsaken job where the awful government takes money out of my paycheck to pay for awful things I don't like or need, like maintained streets and sponsored electrical monopolies and weather forecasts so that I may be aware of my impending doom via Mother Nature, I came home so that I may angrily call everyone who's fault all of this is (as it is not mine). Specifically being Progressive, whom I need to throw money at so that I may drive around my poorly maintained vehicle - which despite all of my best efforts to the contrary, is still worth more than my yearly salary.
Progressive was very understanding. They seemed nice.
Now, aside from all that vaguely related garbage, I continued to relay all of my distaste for everything that exists to Bank of America (whom may or may not be Satan incarnate, thanks to popular polls by the populace stating thus so), and more specifically, to several poor saps who have obviously been enslaved by The BoA - constricted and drained of their life! Like so much fresh meat for the Machine of Capitalism! (which is the reason everything forever is shitty and not good)
And I know this because on the exact same page print out garbage bull@#(! device meant to enrage me to the point of no return, I saw not just the Overdraft Fee that I knew was inevitably coming, much like the Mayan Prophecy dictating the End of The World (as we know it) via Nerf War*
But just below it, I had an Overdraft Protection Fee, for ten American unit dollars of currency! Above, an Overdraft Fee, for 35 dollars! And between them, the deposit I had made of the paper monies to appease the dark desires of the Unholy Gods which I serve! (Bank of America)
But it's fine cuz after appeasing the Blood God Khorne, (he's the easiest to make happy usually), I managed to get a refund for the 45 dollars that Bank of America decreed I was not worthy to have.
*That's what the mayans were talking about right
the great nerf war of 2012? I bought about 80 dollars worth of nerf devices a month or two ago to get ready for that shit.
Gotta prepare for the worst, ya know.
Bank of America; Satan Incarnate?
Bank of America has consistently refused to charge me overdraft fees for 2 years, despite my running my account underground a few times.

Get over yourselves, don't try to win arguments on the internet where the option of a punch in the mouth is unavailable
"It is not that I cannot create anything good, but that I will not." And to prove this, he created the peacock.
I've chewed out Wells Fargo twice for overdraft fees. Once, because I did overdraft, BUT they took the highest bill out of my account first, then all the smaller purchases I had made, so that EACH got an overdraft. When I went in to chew their heads, they dropped all fees except the biggest one, understanding that I could have had only ONE overdraft instead of 8 of them.
The second, I had funds to cover my purchases IF they deposited my check first, and then my charges. But they didn't. They charged me 4 overdrafts, THEN put my direct deposited check into my account. I set up a meeting with someone at my local Wells Fargo, and they didn't look at my account for 30 seconds before they waived all fees.
I set myself up for overdraft protection, now. It doesn't cost me anything if I overdraft except a cash advance on my credit-card at 21% interest...
I'm still with them, because they genuinely work with me if I have a complaint. They're more than helpful in person. Probably because it's a corporate bank; they have stupid deposit rules and overdraft fees to screw the people who won't come in and complain.
I'll probably go to a local credit union or something when I get a real cop job and get settled instead of this part-time gig.

This is really the thing to do. Big banks like BoA don't really want your business. They only make money off you by charging those stupid fees.Psychosis wrote:QUOTE (Psychosis @ May 8 2012, 03:43 PM) my wife and I closed our accounts with BoA and transferred all remaining funds to my local credit union.
Local credit unions are the way to go for average folks.
