first ship (bullet):
Big mass, big thrust, no shield, special weapon, one special dispenser, one special cloak, and good turning rate (its a big big interceptor)
adv second ship (big bertha):
Big mass, efficience thrut, no weapon, second special cloak, normal turning rate
special weapon (tractor beam) : energy weapon who slow down hit ship (a variant with a less effective but with better range weapon could be exist)
special dispenser (IEM bomb) : dommage all ship on small radius
first special cloak (eletromagnetic fields) : when actived, reduce max speed on ship in small radius around the ship
second special cloak (overload) : when actived, collision with this ship can damage base
That a melee combat techpath with the epic move called : ram kill
and the second ship is a suicidal ship for ramkill base, it need a big range for got a big speed for deal correct damage.
some equilibrate should be created for tf who have no prox mine like : tower with tractor beam, or dispenser who can deviate the ennemy trajectory
New techpath

Okay, I still don't know anything about computers, but doesn't "local server" actually mean "server set up on the same machine"? O_o Or does it just mean "a server near your house," like "your local drug store" or "your local representative?"clint wrote:QUOTE (clint @ Feb 3 2012, 12:06 PM) you need create a local server or another machine, you cant do it on the same
The wiki article certainly makes it sound like it'd run on the same machine.
For that matter, the LAN server article also seems to imply you can do the whole thing on one computer.
So... yeah, I'm sure there's a way around it, clint.

ok ok i am a liar ^^
But I dont know where is the code game, and even if I am a god for programming, I dont know where i can found the codes, how compile it and test it.
And if I knew how did that, my new ship would got the same design than existent ship
i am not a designer ^^

And this is why simply posting a new ship idea on the forums won't result in it being added to the game.clint wrote:QUOTE (clint @ Feb 3 2012, 12:36 PM) ok ok i am a liar ^^

This wiki article is an overview, and has links to other articles that provide more details on developing the game.
An easier (comparatively) option is to edit game cores. This limits what you can and cannot change severely, and you'd still need a new model if you wanted to create a completely new ship, unless you'd be willing to reuse existing models, but you can still do some nifty stuff. Of course to say it's easier than programming doesn't mean it's actually easy, and even then, the real trouble would be actually getting anyone to host and play your new core, of course.
