We should just do like every other game and add weapon skills you can level up and gun attachments that you unlock

I had and 'Allegiance 2' project at some point last year and earlier this year. Actually, everything was almost set up but my investors literally flew away.

The thing is, they would invest in video gaming only either if they see a solid IP or an existing 'solid' community. There is no solid IP here, it's old, forgotten and owned by MS anyway. So we tried to bet on the community, I made some approach and hints some months ago while they were monitoring these forums. They tried the game, had numerous very ugly 'first contact' experiences. Still they tried to see if the community would open up. nada. They wouldn't want to build on mud, it'll just crumble.

Also they got cold feet when they saw your closed organisation who operates on unknown systems owned by 'who knows' and where the donation money is going into unknown pockets for unknown purpose. They foresaw some legal complications here.

They also saw the decline of numbers. So they flew. simply. the deal was dead then.

I tried to salvage a few things. Couldn't. This was the Allegiance 2 project. This had nothing to do with 11-11-11. This is dead and buried deep months ago. This is the past.

The 11-11-11 tease was about another completely different project. A single player only 'Allegiance like' game (I hoped the numerous 1s would give a hint).
I planned the announcement for today hoping TE would be gone by then. But he's still here and ironically is the OP here...quite funny.
Out of interest, wouldn't it have been better to do all this openly rather than secret deals with unknown investors and hidden agendas?

No, of course not, don't be ridiculous. That defeats the one world government agenda and puts conspiracy theorists out of a job. It's not good for the economy.

KGJV wrote:QUOTE (KGJV @ Nov 19 2011, 09:37 PM) make it so that we can have mature and spam/joke free discussions in these forums. When was the last time we did this ? years ago IIRC. These days, every topic about a serious subject is always spammed, derailed and full of joke posts. Even this very topic is an example of this. Ever heard of moderation ? smart moderation. ? If you can manage this then be ready for an open discussion about how the show is ran here and about your ZLs organization. No point discussing this with all the usual morons spamming and joking.
It does happen, just not in threads you visit. People tend to find you a bit abrasive, so either consider you to be a troll or try to troll you in reply. Elsewhere it's fine, except where everybody's different opinion drives the discussion around in circles but that happens anywhere.

Sure, as long as all the discussions for #2 get their own forum and any other thread that moves into statistical e-peen swinging gets moved there by a moderator. :P

Tigereye, your financials and hardware choices for Allegiance are making it difficult for Kage to launch a single player Allegiance game. I don't even know how this is possible but it sounds like you need to buy better hardware and become poorer so you can stop affording those tickets to punch kage in the face everyday.

I couldn't care less about publishing financial records and disclosing what hardware is used.

We have a miniscule playerbase in a free to play game.

An amateur Allegiance 2 production is a pipe dream, just like Quantas was. We can't even keep players with what we have. Once we have finally managed to run off TE and can't play the game any more, then we will really have something to cry about. Because nobody other than TE (with the possible exception of pkk) has the temperament to put up with the drivel that he has to on a day to day basis, week in week out.

Oh sure, You (or the object of your hero-worship) may do it for a month or two before you get pissed off at the ridiculous suggestions, garbage that "The Community" thinks is the next must have thing to save Allegiance that you have to implement, and the tacit abuse that you have to face when it fails to do so.

My sincere advice is to enjoy what we have, while you can. Because I can't see anybody credible waiting in the wings to become Pook Mk3.
