heheheheheehehehehhehehehe

ya know when i read your post i thought to myself, "man that's a lot of time, work, energy, and frankly caring about a game.

Then to see your old squad, knowing you don't play anymore, but caring enough to want to pass on your work to the community.

i thought, "Yer a better man than i Gung ga Din"

i know you have put a lot more time and thought into this game than i have, and i started with beta.

THANK YOU.

Your are a generous person.

(i will not comment beyond this line about the childish, hatefull, unco-operative response you did not intentionally invoke through anything i can see in your post.)

oh ya, and i know there are a lot of people who have put in a lot of time and money and effort and thought into this community Thank you Also, but don't be rude, i don't like it.

You idiots, Night is busy making pro mods and stuff, you can't expect him to actually read things!

no i already read it like 18 times while weed and i reviewed his ideas and models with some amount of consideration with regards to whether or not they'd be usable at all, whilst the rest of you are probably content to just give him a pat on the head, say "GOOD JOB" and then otherwise completely ignore him

i just find this whole nonsense of some guy who had an idea of a faction showing up and being all "OMGOMGOMG I HAVE A FACTION PUT IT INTO THE GAME!11!!11 IT'S GONNA BE SO AWESOME WHY WON'T YOU LISTEN TO ME!11!!" really really annoying

it's only about two steps forward from the random newbies that are discouraged from doing the same thing because he has a bunch of textured models

Sweet, I was hoping these would pop up at some point, saves me having to hunt you down when I need them.

On the down side, now you won't get hunted down when I need them. Cya round, Hockfire.

now you're dishonest and trying to justify your behavior in this post.

reread his old posts introducing his 'faction' and you'll see no childish behavior from him.

I don't know why you take this personally : you act like if you're in charge. you're not. you want to be ? not the place.

just don't go personal on the guy. If you don't like his work no point been rude.

They're really not all that bad, the stations at least look good.
Since these are up now, changes could be made to get a look that people agree on.

The concept of the faction as they present it may be flawed, but the art content could still be used.

Are there any faction themes that haven't been covered by the ones we already have?

ive extracted both files and uploaded them in extracted format into my github account

https://github.com/borgified/Hockfire

you can navigate around the directories and be able to look at text files and view stuff in picture format (gif, png, etc)
you can actually look at binary files too but thats not gonna do a whole lot of good...

if you make improvements and you'd like me to make them available too, just send me a pull request

Just to clarify:

There are two separate events here. One of them is asking for BL to be accepted in XC, and if I remember, I (almost) explicity said that anything could be done with the faction in order to make it playable and enjoyable, whilst keeping non-gameplay related things like art and storyline fairly intact (though improvements are always welcome). I really apreciate the fact that Weed and Night are interested and working hard to improve and develop the faction gameplay-wise, since even I can see some flaws in the specs.

However, I am now releasing all my contribution to Allegiance. This just means that I see no point in my files being in the hand of the none or the few (as they have always been). What the community wants to do with them, that's up to you. Use the special tech for your own faction, use/modify my HUD, fly BL in single-player servers, paint them funky, whatever. If you enjoyed what I have given, then I did what I came here to do.

PS: Thanks fwiffo/KGJV for hosting the files.
