No mods until we solved that problem. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Anyway, first step:
update your drivers for the video card, for the soud card and get the latest Direct X version:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en
Make sure you get the correct language version.

The pcx1100u is a USB Cable Modem. Make sure you're connected via CAT5 not USB.

What problem did you encounter at the Microsoft site? You need the latest DX runtimes to have Alleg work.

Graphics is not the only thing in DirectX.

There is DirectPlay, which is the networking component this game uses, there is DirectInput, which connects input devices (keyboard, mouse, joystick, gamepad, etc.). There is DirectSound. And finally, there is Direct3D/DirectDraw. Just because a game is graphically outdated doesn't mean its built on old netcode. FAZ R3 uses (is compiled in) DX9.0c December edition runtimes. I'd like to point out that even if you have "DX9.0c", there will be a later version on the site because Microsoft doesn't change their version code while updating DirectX.
