FYI, the ban that was applied was not for this incident. It was for a lobby boot of Branmuffin.

The ROC is undergoing a minor rewrite to clarify rules.

But for general knowledge:

A. I might have accepted the misclick excuse...

B. The commander DOES have the right to choose who flies for him. "If he feels the player would be disruptive to his game" It is a gray area and I deal with it on a case by case basis.

C. Letting a player join just to boot him is a violation of the rules.

D. Yes everyone gets to play. BUT if they have created a reputation that causes a commander to hesitate to allow him on his/her team, well that is the players problem, not ours.

BOS for any reason is against ROC, peroid

Misclick BOS is a weak excuse but I will leave that to BV

While RoC says it is up to the teams commander who he lets on his team, we must stop this idea of not allowing some people to fly for you. UNLESS this player flys in circles every game or disrupts yur team, (ie UB) I see no reason not to allow Merc to fly for you in that game. Yes it was even at the time but instead of rejecting/booting him just tell him to join the other team. HOWEVER, you seem to think he was stacking. With even teams how would you know? You had just lost a game. Perhaps it was your faction choice he wanted? Perhaps a friend was on your team he wanted to fly for? Perhaps he had the other commander on HIS no fly llist. I dont know:(

We have conflict in ROC, "everyone gets to play" and "commanders are allowed to choose his/her team to keep balanced teams" You cant have it both ways

If we continue to segment the community with this kind of bull@#(! it will only lead to our continued downfall.'

Yes I know there are people who refuse to fly with me, for me or allow me on thier team. Thats just pure asshaltness. Im sure there are others with this problem.

So in summary, I see no reason for the boot, for the reason to reject other than, Vogue is an asshalt elitest. I doubt if I spelled that right:)

Let the ban hammer come down.
TBH I've got commanders for my no fly list but also a no fly list is mainly "if I'm in a sour mood and cba dealing with a @#(! commander I'll avoid him". I mostly pick on factions, only when I am In the mood for both factions will I look at commanders, if I dont care for the commanders i'll look for someone I know and join them.

Now for when I command: if I didn't like someone flying for me (which I have a few) I often warn them as they join if they dick me about i'll kick 'um. So really my "no fly for me" list, is really a "quick boot" list. I.e If they mess up or if I need to set an example of someone it'll be them first :P

I guess that's the better way to deal with it then not let them join but also look at what vogue said. He said "i didn't want him flying for me and since we were even he could've joined the other team".

Often if you wont accept someone for a little while they'll go for the other team or pm you. To me it seems like vogue was actually trying to make it clear he didn't want this person but not preventing him from playing (rejecting him to go to the other team).

If the commander and a pilot just argue all game then it's no fun for anyone.

Just my 50p
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

These days all I have is a "who-the-$#@!-is-this-guy" list.

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.

Well i dont buy the mistake boot bull@#(! not that it matters. You have to confirm the "boot player xxxxxx"

Also if we let people play based on rep then there we be a smaller player base over the next year.

Some rep's are earned some are not. Some attempt to recover from a bad rep. Some do not and just leave or get banned(see UB/Frag)

Seems we need a clean cut rule. Either everyone gets to play or the commander rules supreme. Players should not be punished for past mistakes or misjudgements.

I know of many players who took time off after screwing their rep's and are now back playing under a different name with a new attitude and are decent players. In fact there is one player I could not stand and refused membership to BS who came back is is a good guy and good palyer. I asked if he would join BS and then I found out who he was. I hold no hard feelings.

Some people need to learn that concept and stop being asshalts
