Hmm. Well, I'm not really sure how to film/explain this one. Boost-orbiting a miner at 250-300m range while the miner is running away from you (in a straight line) isn't too hard, but aiming just takes practice. I guess the biggest thing to point out is that quite often you will actually need to aim
behind the miner as you boost alongside it, as you'll be going faster than it. Fwiffo (or any other good player with fraps) could probably do this video better than I can.
I know how to film this from first-person view, but I don't know if that's the best way of doing it. Perhaps I should film it from a camera-scout chasing the miner from 1k or so while an int demonstrates? That way you see how the int moves, not just the first-person view of the int orbiting and aiming. I'll need a good intwhore to help me film this. Send me a PM or post below and we can arrange a time to film it.
Current AFS video project tasks:
1) Add SaiSoma's narration to the con-nan video (whenever he sends it to me)
2) film the rest of the sig/scan explanation video
3) edit/narrate the sig/scan explanation video
4) film the boost-orbit video
5) film the "how to ram a friendly bomber" series
6) film the "how to open-air prox an enemy bomber" - I need someone to explain how to do this, I suck at it
7) Go through parts of Juckto's "You suck at alleg" - specifically the ones regarding missile behavour, overboosting/not overboosting, forming up instead of boosting into a nan train one at a time, proper use of rix combat drones, actual bullet range (not just the crosshairs)
8) anything else people suggest
