These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.

Changing the default controls = rewriting and re voicing various parts of the existing training missions
The only part of that which is in any way difficult is choosing just ONE of the community's sexyvoices to do the revoicing

And of course choosing WHICH input mapping is going to be the default one.

Fortunately Imago just collected information on which input maps are used the most :ninja:

Seriously, the AFS input map looks fine except that it seems to be missing forwards thrust.
And make sure the shooting tutorial tells people to press 0 on the numpad and aim with the mouse (unless they have a joystick). The current tutorial feels as if it was designed to trap newbies into flying with the keyboard (well at least it did that for me when I started playing  ).

Yup. agreed. I said non-trivial, as in it would take some effort from some people.

good points from the.ynik too, the training missions shouldn't imply Keyboard control is a valid option :)
