Co-sign what Edmond says. Alleg would still have to be completely independent of steam. Just have it stick to non-Steam games for now until Steam stops being a douche (which is never).

Do you think it's possible to integrate ASGS into the actual allegiance.exe file? It would be a pretty big code change though.

We're not on Gamespy server lists for the same reason We're not on Steam lists - we're not an official organization. Tigereye needs to square this away or allow someone else in the community to create an organization registered with a state / country and make our primary presence appear from said organization. TE would be the logical person to do this as he is currently the owner of the alleg.net domain and that is our primary freeallegiance.org.

THIS IS ALL THE SAME REASON WHY WE DONT HAVE:

A GameSpy SDK (free)
A GoDaddy OpenSource SSL Certificate (free)
A Class 3 Code Signing Certificate ($)

THANKS TIGEREYE

No.
For a myriad of reasons. One of which is that we can't modify ASGS in it's current state.

Work on ASGS's replacement is still ongoing.

If Allegiance was abandonware this might be an issue, but when a game's source code is released to the public it means they've given up on it.

The WI people of Alleg should start the org. Considering that BV is here, I'm here, Romeo is somewhere here, another guy is in Milwaukee, then there's Fuzz who won't touch anything but just be the receptionist (and I don't trust him with that tbh).

Yeah, MN has Bard (Dev ZL), Imago (real Dev ZL), Orion (whiner), some other people I don't care to remember they are from MN (but may not be bad guys).
