Could you please do a tracert to planet.dras.us and server.german-borg.de?

Easy guide on tracert-ing stuff:

1. Press Windows_Key+R, a white box will appear.
2. Type "cmd" into the white box (without parenthesis) and press Enter; a black box will appear.
3. Type "tracert planet.dras.us" into the black box, press Enter and wait for the command to complete (might take a while).
4. Once the command completes, right click on the black box and choose "Select all" from the pop-up menu, press enter; this will copy the output of tracert command into your clipboard.
5. Create a new post in this thread and paste (Ctrl+V) what you have copied out of the black box into it.
6. Repeat steps 3-5, but instead of planet.dras.us, call "tracert server.german-borg.de".
7. Submit post.

Those were the same server. :P We're missing server.german-borg.de

The initial tracert indicates a decent/proper connection. I suspect something is blocking the outgoing packets - I'd check your router to make sure no rule is blocking the game ports 2300 through 2400. Also, check if you have a QoS (Quality of Service) rule being enforced. Next might be your AV software. Disabling it doesn't really disable it (remnants are still left functioning). What AV are you running?

QUOTE The initial tracert indicates a decent/proper connection. I suspect something is blocking the outgoing packets - I'd check your router to make sure no rule is blocking the game ports 2300 through 2400[/quote].

Sorry for my ignorance but i have no idea how to do that, could you give me a direction?

Again, have no idea here also. need help.

I used to have Kaspersky but i have removed it completely. I currently have no AV installed.

Thank you for your very fast reply.

Cool. That pretty much confirms what I was thinking. Because you can ping the servers ok, your machine isn't being blocked but the Allegiance client is. So check those other things I mentioned. If you don't know how, let us know and maybe we can step you through it. Likely we're going to need the model number of the EDIMAX router you have to check the docs, etc. But let's focus on the AV software first (the most likely suspect.) What's the make and version?

ok.. you replied while I was writing. :P

Kaspersky has been known to cause some issues (not always). I found a link here that confirms that there could be an issue with uninstalling the software - leaving remnants behind. So they have a tool to clean up crap that was left behind. Have a look through that page for the appropriate tool for your version, run it and REBOOT (very important). Then try again and let us know how it goes.

FreeBeer,

Would you accept a call via Skype, I will gladly share my screen.

And...I will update the thread for rule-outs and hopefully a success (Documentation for future use).

My contact name is eldad.alber.

Just a thought...if you are not comfortable with it thats OK as well.
