Stripe Gameserver
I'm curious about that 300. Does the ping go up to 300, or do you mean something else?deathgoat wrote:QUOTE (deathgoat @ Jun 4 2010, 03:31 AM) gpz ~ 150 (up to 300 gameplay- ie. might as well shoot myself in the face)

<bp|> Maybe when I grow up I can be a troll like PsycH
<bp|> or an obsessive compulsive paladin of law like Adept
Lobby:
Stripe - Failed to connect to server
Solap - 32 ms
Planet2 - 57 ms
GPZ - 121 ms
My location: Mississauga, Ontario. If I was able to connect to stripe, ping would be lower than Solap.

After our commander rushes an OP to their home: I launch AB then enemy comm AB launches. I'm not giving any names.
hmm...maybe I'm doing it wrong. I go to the lobby for each server anf hit alt-F. I look at ping:X.XXX
Regardless of the server, it is always a number between 0 and 5 (with 3 places after the decimal). Now the number preceding this is lag: XX
This looks more like what you guys are reporting for ping. What am I screwing up?

Will that finally get you to shut the hell up?!?" -- neotoxin
FWIW, Solap is up, but I suspect TE has removed it from the lobby in anticipation of its demise.
Update: I was able to connect today (that previous comment was based on my experience last night.)

I've sometimes noticed in the past that the ping I get while in lobby is different from the ping I get while in game. I can't confirm this now as I don't currently have Alleg installed, but is there any reasonable explanation for this, and if so, should it be taken into account? Or am I just going crazy?
