Seeing the add in PC gamer, and wishing I had dialup so I could play :(

need to frame that advert, and the review I think I still have it.

Thinking that X vs Tie was dying and no other game could compare -

Getting into the beta crica.. Oct 1999 I believe... and thinking screw X vs Tie this game rox..

Getting Booted for the first time by Gemini

Thinking DR Strange Love was the god of commanding (still do)

Miss Mufatu, Sgt Rock, Verbal pain in the ass,, Fast Crab, MUSIC 626,

Remember when Grey slayer couldnt hit the borad side of a barn...

Owning Bastard at com... over and over.

Watching Weed get poded ... over and over.

Being so glad when the ALEPH res was introduced to stop the Devastor Camps.

Remeber that a LUX SF was the badest ship in hte game and could run down most scouts.

Think that 9 bucks for a game and a 10 dollar a month subscitpion was well worth it after the very first game.

The first time I used a destroyer and luanched them nasty missles and knew one shot one kill was not a myth.

The first time I used a RIX destroyer with Lancer 3 "OH WHAT POWER" and decided... "who needs missles.

Being depressed when the "DEFEND DEFENDER" exploit was found, and life went to hell.

When the first set of exoloits were published.

Being impressed when KGJV discovered how to tweak the code .

Remebering how awesome LEE Mazillie and Rain were on a bomber toghter. Thinking who needs a nan these guys are unreal.

Being glad that people hung on... and look forward to spending time with a bunch of folks I have known longer then most of the folks at work.

I also remember the first Allegathon. Some guy attending Queen's university from Kingston, Ontario, Canada played for about 26 hours straight. Wish I could remember his name.

Back then I used to play on FZ alot due to the odd hours I worked. There were times when no one was on AZ or it was broken.
I remember J_I_M_B_O and PIPEDELUX as being two of the best whores on the FZ. There were others who are still around so don't get yer nickers in a twist if I didn't post yer name.

J_I_M_B_O came back for a while when the game started being run by the players. PIPEDELUX was a German dude who just kind of vanished (he was really unbelieveable in an interceptor).

Haven't seen either in years they were great to game with.

I wonder wtf they are doing now?!?!

-filling an entire sector with probes with Firebird

-doing insane stealth bombing and HTT runs with Pyro

-Once thought Steel_Griffin was god of IC commanding /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

-being the leader of TC for almost a year and then had to give it up due to outside-game reasons

-actually being good at commanding /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

-beating up the AZ guys when Microsoft gave us 1 free month of AZ... and the AZ guys were SO damn pissed about us coming in there.

-spending most of my mornings at work on the 'offtopic' section of the forum yacking with Petit_Mort.

man i cant even remember most of it anymore. good to see memories remain
