Failed to load D3DX9_41.DLL

got this message while trying to start asgs 2.2
i have dx 11, isnt it backwards compatible?
radeon 5750
some1 said mcaffee was causing this problem, but i have avg and have turned it off
windows 7 64
microsoft .net framework 2.0

You need the latest DirectX9 to run R5 now.

you can get it through the web-installer here

Edit : No DX11 is not backwards compatible......

what an expedious response, thank u.

will downgrading my direct x affect any of my other games? i know dx11 supports parallel processing on a huge scale but there aren't any games that even support it yet so i don't care about that.

It will not downgrade DX11 as far as I am aware.

Both versions should happily sit on the machine next to each other, only used by the programs which need them

notjarvis is correct. Installing DX9 is not a downgrade. You can have DX9, DX10 and DX11 installed if you wish, they won't contradict each other.
