I wish there was a way to hold the shift key down to set more than one waypoint when using F3 or "map mode."

That way people could create a "course" through a sector.

Then they could down the CTRL key while they click and drag a way-point to a new location, including adjusting it's distance from the ecliptic.

Lastly, they should be able to click on a waypoint and hit the delete key to delete that waypoint.

Agreed. It's settled then. R6 will have this feature.

Before that, why not fix the thing where releasing the mouse button anywhere near a rock (even if you're using right-click to choose a spot WAAAAAAAY above/below the grid and your cursor happens to be near a rock when you let go) sends you to the rock instead of where you wanted to go?

I'll tell you one: chasing probes and, less effective but still, mobile eyes in your sector.

Another - travelling across sector stealthily, you can plot your course as you enter the sector and concentrate on other things while you travel....

(It'd be a minor enhancement in this case - but still helpful...)

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye
