Well here's a strange one and I doubt the helpline can help on this one ...

When I first installed Allegiance this go 'round, and nice job getting this baby to actually WORK on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 I must say, I couldn't hear the sounds from any of the OGG files.

Uninstalled, then reinstalled and this time expanded the OGG's to WAV's and I still can't hear ANY of the sounds.

Went to the artwork folder and tried playing them with Media Player and they STILL don't play. Oh I can see Media Player go through the motions, no errors except on a few of them.
Tried out a few of the WAV's in the %WINDIR%\Media folder and they play just fine. No other issues of any sort either ...

Perhaps Windows is missing the required codec for these babies?
If not, what ELSE might the deal be?

God I just hate VIA - this machine has the VIA Vinyl 1780

since this doesn't seem to have much to do with the difference between OGG and WAV, please repost this in helpline. I've always been amazed about how they are able to figure out some things :)

(or someone move this ofcourse)
