Installed Mods: none

Make and Version of firewall:
Make and version of anti-virus: AVG antivirus free
Confirm that you have the following installed:

* .Net 2.0 [ with SP2 ]

Problem Encountered at Step #: (read the "What Should Happen" for this step#)
#5 Allegiance opens up
Happens right here
#6 You click "Free Games" at the bottom

Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): Allegiance

What Error Message: none onscreen, several in crash dump (pasted below)

Comments (What you tried, description, etc):

Logged into ASGS, it said I needed to update.
It downloaded and installed the update and restarted.
I logged in again.
Login process looked like the same as always but when Allegiance started up it would open up a window(like usual) the screen would blink to straight black(like it was going to fullscreen) and then close and ASGS would be logged out.

Tried Windowed mode and fullscreen
Tried having ASGS repair critical files
Ran Allegiance directly without ASGS and it showed same behavior

Sounds to me like a graphics/artwork problem.

Please post your VideoSettings.log, DirectInput.log, and DeviceCreation.log, all found in your root Allegiance folder.

The default for this is "C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Allegiance" or, for 64 bit versions of Windows, "C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Allegiance."

Well that's it right there. It probably has something to do with the Allegiance graphics engine and your graphics card/drivers. I would first try to update your drivers.

If that doesn't work, I'll try to point someone more qualified your way.

Reinstalled video drivers and reinstalled Allegiance.
ASGS ran an update (despite being freshly installed)
Same problem as before.

Go to your allegiance folder and delete allegiance.exe Run ASGS, it will tell you a file is corrupt and ask you of it is ok to try and fix it. Say yes and it will download a file. When the files are done see if it works. If not restart and try again.
