Yeah, normally I don't. And believe me, I didn't want to post here. I tend to avoid computer game forums. But like I said in my previous post it felt like it was getting out of hand. Which got me fired up. But, truth be told, it isn't such a big deal. But christ, given all the BS I've put up with in the real world... give a guy a break.

Anyway, thanks for the replies.

1.35 KtE with a 10+ KpH, and your a solid rank 11? so while you get kills, you do jack to help your team out. also 700+ hours played.. you think that LEARNING would be involved somewhere in there

Should probably let it go ghost, you've said your piece and now they'll just troll you into the ground.

You should probably talk to your doctor about the depression thing.

From the few stories I've heard about you and from you I think it should be pretty obvious to you how to get back into a game. Sounds like you're kinda useless too the team most times and you've been booted quite a bit.

And finally this should have been in the Rants forum in the first place.

Regardless of the back and forth he does have a legitimate complaint, even though he didn't really voice it.

Communication Systems in Allegiance suck.. plain and simple. So many of these issues could be resolved without all the drama if some improvements to how the communication flow in game.

I know that standard response of 'get better' is going to be answered to this post but that doesn't invalidate the issue.

The learning curve in Allegiance has very little to do with learning to fly (side thrusting is about the only tricky part to learn when it comes to piloting) the rest is pretty easy to pickup.

The hard part to Allegiance is learning what the hell people want you doing, using the VC more that actually give an order helps get people focused (I have never understood when a commander is screaming for people to camp an aleph that they don't just send a quick VC to the team, it seems obvious to me that it's the simplest way to get the message out to people).

Seriously if you are taking the time to spam the chat with Boot threat messages why the hell can't you send a VC! It's the clearest method to get you message out!

anyway, still working on my spec, have too many things on the go right now with work :)

btw: I am going to start

Ghost of Blue wrote:QUOTE (Ghost of Blue @ Jan 17 2010, 01:40 PM) Still, I can't help but think that Spidey looked at the SF, saw my tag, then booted me because it was me. Normally I wouldn't post, but damn, it'd gotten to be a real pain. Whatever. Solution is to cut back on Allegiance, maybe altogether.
I don't boot anyone because of their tags ( if I did those pesky SysX clowns would be the first to go!) but I boot you for the same reasons I would boot anyone else. I'm sorry if you feel I'm picking on you by booting you often but that just means you are not being very helpful to the team in my eyes often. As an example there are so many times the miner needs 1 more shot to die and you are flying around spamming QF's at voobs. This just isnt helpful and sucks for the 20 people on the team podded trying to kill that miner.
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

.78 KtE with 5 KpH and barely rank 13. Not only do I not get kills, but I also do jack to help my team out

Ghost, people usually get booted because they're consistently being unproductive, not keeping their eye on the ball, or doing stupid @#(!. A lot of the times people come here and whine on the boards about how they think they're getting booted just because they're unpopular, and after two pages of drama it turns out they're an idiot who doesn't have their priorities straight.

Mryd: The standard response of "get better" really fits here, because there's only really five things that ever need to be done in Alleg: miner d, miner o, con d, con o, and the occasional base d/base attack. Everything else (probing, camping, podding people) all feeds into the accomplishment of one of those four objectives. So when people come here to complain about always getting booted, they should start playing during games and thinking to themselves "am I doing something that contributes to the team, or am I uselessly chasing after a solo scout 4k away from a miner?" Likewise, most questions of "where should we go, what should we do" melt away pretty quickly if you know where their miners are (and if not, get in a scout and find them).

Against shield 3, dis really isn't a bad choice, though if they have shield 3 you better hope you have galvs already, so the point is moot. Otherwise, leave it at home. Even then, I wouldn't take it miner hunting.
