unable to patch it up.

when I log onto asgs get the dll error. I go to TE post and click on the fix the dll problem. no choice of languge. click on download, click on run, get error A internal system error occurred. please refer to DXError.log and Directx.log in your windows folder to determine problem. It says

I notice it says japanNec. I made sure i was using English. I do not know if this is the problem.

how did you update DirX10? It does look like you installed the .JP version

dirext 10 whatever was on a new game that was added to my computer recently. But the error was when I tried to fix it with the link that TE had posted for problems. Should I just delete and reinstal????

i went back into my direcx and it has been that way since aug of this year. so it does not seem to have effected anything. i'm going to deleate and try a reinstall. it might not work. but at this point i just don't know. I did the 3 file replacment and it won't run at all right now.

Do you still get the dll error when you try to run ASGS?

If not, goto the Allegiance folder and see if you can run ASGSUpdate. After Update, run ASGS normally.

Make sure you are logged in as an Administrator when you install directx.

You may be required to reinstall your video drivers after a successful update of directx.

Try deleting AGC.dll in your allegiance directory (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Allegiance) Then start allegiance and log in. It will come up with an error message, click repair then try it.

I loaded a game onto her PC called warlords and I think that may be the problem. I plan to uninstall it and see if that helps. I think thats where the DX10 came from.

However I didnt have the same problem with my pc but Im not running vista, I have the OS before vista XP i think:)

I have uninstalled the game I thhought gave us directx10 and reinstalled alleg to no avail. I read another post about the .Dll file and attempted to d/l that but when I get to the part of "where do you want this file" I have no idea where to d/l it to. I thought a DirectX folder but it says its an invalid folder. So I made one and d/l it to that folder. Still no .dll file so Ry1 can not play.

Any ideas on where I should put that update? Or if thats even the right update file

I also attepted to d/l the file TE posted but it gives me an error and tells me to read a log in a windows error file to find out what happened but I have no idea where to find the log in my windows file

you can put the .dll's in your Allegiance directory (or wherever the allegiance.exe is located)

ok, I have deleted the dll files, went to the ms site to d/l http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...playlang=en(per Immortalz in another post). it seems to not completely d/l. I still get the error d3dx_41.dll. I'm running in admin mode. have deleted and reinstalled 3x's. I'm at a lost at this point.
