attendance
In case anyone is interested in seeing short term stats (I just started collecting when the Marketing group was formed), check out http://allegiance.fragfest.net/stats. Basically, this is all information straight from the leaderboard and the "currently online" pages (just count how many players are there and keep track). We can't draw any information from this right now as we don't know the "typical" stats for this time of year, so don't jump to any conclusions, but we'll continue to track this and other info (fwiffo has much more detailed tracking info that he and MrC and a few others are working with to give the marketing team and other groups some really GREAT data) and make plans to help being more players into Alleg and keep them here:). Just remember, we all have full time lives OUTSIDE alleg and many of us even have full time JOBS (or two, or three jobs) and then family on top of that. The more help we have, the better. Step up and help your game:).
I apologize, I wasn't trying to be rude either, I was just genuinely surprised because, given that you HAVE to go through Cadet I or be around for six months or be fairly well respected before you can take Cadet II, I thought it was way past the "shut up and play" phase of things. I don't think anyone's really reacting to the "stay off the newbie server" and "don't command" stuff because those are fairly appropriate, but by the time somebody gets into Cadet II they should be well beyond the phase where people want them to be seen and not (ever) heard.notjarvis wrote:QUOTE (notjarvis @ Dec 6 2009, 04:50 PM) Those rules were specific guidelines. Once you were in CDT-II - You wouldn't be on the newbie server. In CDT-II, its still not expected you would command. etc.
I fail to see why this does not make it advanced TBH.
I'm not trying to be rude - I just fail to see your point Jimen.

Fair enough - To Be honest - it's in a post made by BV (I guess? the post in CDTII was made by him), and it's probably a rule that probably dates back to when there was just one @Cadet course (before it split into 2).
The Cadet Courses contain some content that dates from a few years ago. Rewrites are in progress, but feedback is always useful.

NJpwned
I just wanted to say that. (NJpwned) I think we've exhausted the original issue to be honest. What say we wrap this up?
EDIT: Most edits are typing errors (I had MJpwned first...)

Technically it IS involved in the administration of AFS, and Allegiance itself!

Less trash talk. Less imitating trash talk. Less childish ego boosting.
Then you will see a rise in attendance again. What you witness is the exodus of the quite guys that can't be bothered to join the ranks of loud mouths that have to get on each others throat in every game. Right now a small minority creates an atmosphere where almost no newbie feels welcome and some long term players simply shake their head and leave. After all we don't play this game for its current core version or its graphic engine - we play it because its fun to work together with people we like. But if that factor is gone the game loses its attractiveness for many of us.
