Confirm that you have the following installed:
* .Net 2.0 [YES ]
Problem Encountered at Step #: (read the "What Should Happen" for this step#) 4
Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): ASGS
What Error Message: Unable to validateAllegiance installation. Popup: "File ClientASGS.exe has an invalid signature. Would you like to attempt to repair the file?"
Comments (What you tried, description, etc): Tried R5 D/L, reinstalling, clicking yes, clicking no, manually updating, manually deleting the thing didn't work (even when i uninstalled alleg the first time, upon reinstallation it couldn't overwrite clientasgs.exe), and drinking more.
Asgs didn't work when R5 first came out, but I got it to work somehow (forgot), then it broke again.
I'm sorry if I missed somethin here or on the wiki. I tried lookin around for solutions but didn't find anything.
Thank you for you help,
Greenleaf
R5 AsgsClient.exe has invalid signature/cannot be deleted
Hey Greenleaf.
Sorry you're running into problems with ASGS, but hopefully we can get them sorted.
Two things I'd like you to try:Try rebooting your machine and then logging into Allegiance again. (Yeah the "reboot" suggestion sounds like a copout, but it works often!)If you still have problems, doublecheck you are running Allegiance as an administrator.
Post here if either of these help you,

The Allegiance community currently hates their sysadmin because he is doing: [Too Much] [____________|] [Too Little]
Current reason: Removing the PayPal contribute page. Send Bitcoin instead: 1EccFi98tR5S9BYLuB61sFfxKqqgSKK8Yz. This scale updates regularly.

OK - Read the read me and the news posts.mashmellows wrote:QUOTE (mashmellows @ Nov 18 2009, 09:22 AM) Have the same problem.
Allegiance worked fine first time after the update, but now keeps giving the same 'invalid signature' problem, even after a reboot.
Help!
Then create your own thread using the template in the Read Me if a solution does not present itself. This helps the helpline organise issues more clearly.

Which Program (ASGS/Allegiance): ASGS
What Error Message:
When I click on the 'Login' button on ASGS
I get the MessageBox prompt 'File ASGSClient.exe has an invalid signature. Would you like to attempt to repair the file?'
Pressing 'Yes' results in the update being run. When the update completes, hitting the 'Login' button results in the same MessageBox poping up.
Pressing 'No' is a dead-end.
Rebooting does not fix issue. Same 'invalid signature' repair file prompt re-occurs.
This is a 2008 install, and I have installed the recommended DX9 update for the missing dx9 .dll
Note: R5 worked the first time after the update. After that the 'invalid signature' thing pops up.
