there is a problem updating when using a 64bit os?
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

Deleting newgamescreen.mdl got allegiance running on my Windows 7 pro 64bit.

Apart from the normal crash on update, everything works 100% and I flew the most enjoyable game of alleg ever.

Thank you all for R5, I'm going to make a news article about the release in a week once all the installation woes are sorted.
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

huh? you sure you downloaded ordinary file for ordinary users? ;p unless it's some vista-specific microsoft surprise...


colors are back to normal, framerate back to normal, transparency back to normal, better deadzone choice, alliances rock, bandwidth option rocks, no autoupdate crashes for me anymore etc. etc. Everything works great and feels much better than R4 :-).

I just wish there was the same option to adjust refresh rate as in alpha build. I can't find it now ;)

you mean the vsync option?

its there, escape->graphics->advanced options->Vertical Sync
