Interesting. I did not know the community used a phpbb board. I am quite familiar with it.
Out of curiosity what led to the change over from phpbb?

It was auto culled because it was in rants and nobody though of moving it. If you think there's a chance of finding it Tiger then it'd be awesome in the rants museum.

We moved to PHPBB because the old forum became unwieldly... phpbb is great for small-mid sized forums, but not for large forums like ours which amasses zillions of posts.
There were constant broken indexes due to bugs in the versions of phpbb we used at the time, which required manual fudging to fix. When we wanted to install patches, it became difficult because many customizations were made to "tweak" the board to give us new features. When the patches were finally tweaked so they could be applied without breaking the board, they were already outdated by new patches that came out in the mean time.

Needless to say, it was a maintenance nightmare, and that's what prompted Pook/Thal to declare: NO MODS ON THE FORUM EVER when we bought our IPB license so that we could always upgrade easily without problems.

I will try to bring back the content of the old forums, but only if the content can be easily segregated so that private posts stay private. No squad forums, senate, or other hidden areas will be revealed that shouldn't be revealed.
