This has been raised like gazillion times and the following replies (edit: and the one above me) will all mean the same...

"It depends on ur prefrences...Some will do with mouse...sum with Stick...It comes down to what you find comfortable!"

Whatever the result of the mouse vs Joystick end up, a gamepad is worse. And pure keyboard is, well, a Bad Idea.

Once you have mastered the game, you can control your ships psychically without any physical inputs. I can ride Patty on someone's ass as fast as it takes one of my neurons to fire. Level 31 ability, which is unfortunately a lot of XP.
