Yes (AFAIK). There is now an 'advanced' section to the <esc> menu where you can set some (Imago is still working on adding the rest of them) of the values that used to be in the pop-up. I sort of liked the pop-up actually but having it integrated is probably the better way to go especially when using ASGS as you only have a certain amount of time to launch the game before ASGS complains. Everything else is set that way so leaving it split does not make sense.parcival wrote:QUOTE (parcival @ Jul 8 2009, 04:30 PM) Also, the graphics setup pop-up screen do not show anymore. Beta server and client updated.

Yes, it has been fixed.parcival wrote:QUOTE (parcival @ Jul 9 2009, 02:00 AM) I did a quick test and it seems I cannot crash Alleg Beta with CortUI![]()
Am I wrong, or is the evil-upper-left-mouse-placement fixed?
You can make it show again by using the safe mode option in ASGS.parcival wrote:QUOTE (parcival @ Jul 9 2009, 02:00 AM) Also, the graphics setup pop-up screen do not show anymore. Is this normal?

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye

I installed the 09.07.20, used Madpeople's beta switcher, and it works fine.

hmm.. just gave it a try. No joy. I followed the instructions linked to by Imago and it didn't work. I got the msv90.dll error (despite unzipping them to the beta folder twice), and yeah, I did unzip the new artwork into the /beta/artwork folder and did the repair critical files (the first time it downloaded stuff, the second time it checked, but I didn't see it download stuff, so presumably it was happy with what it saw). If I run the beta Allegiance directly I get "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect."
On my computer the latest build is working absolutely smoothly (apart from a bug with fraps on which imago is already working). The update to dx9 and the addition of some fancy features gave a youth cure to alleg.
Also someone stated some time ago that r5 shouldn't be released before it was in all ways better than r4 or at least equal, from what I saw there is not much to add for this to happen.
Just more testing on a variety of hardware and configs, so if you think that you testing it won't be of any help, change your mind. It takes 5-10 mins to set it up and mess around with most of the settings.

Thanks BIGROU. If the only issue so far is with Fraps we are in great shape!
