It's right at the top of the Esc menu.

Note that the version number was added to the current beta builds, and is not present in the version of Allegiance we play with every day.

Then something is screwed up. I did exactly what was said in the FRAZ Sticky and I don't have anything different in my ESC menu.

Umm, then you are running the wrong client.

How are you starting the Allegiance Beta client?

You should either be starting it with ASGS and CHECKING BETA mode.
Or, since ASGS is not required, as we are in between builds at the moment, you can just double click (or launch via a short cut so you can pass it nice arguments like -windowed -nomovies) the Allegiance.exe you downloaded from the link in the Sticky.

Did both ways Dogbones. I get that validation error if I use ASG in beta mode. I can't connect if I do the other way and nothing extra shows up when I hit ESC.

do you have the latest build from this thread?
http://www.freeallegiance.org/forums/index...showtopic=23828

download the latest R3 client (they update it like every week or every day or something) and try again.

Start the FAZ Beta without ASGS...

If it is still not working after re-reading the above posts, walk me through the steps you are doing.

Where are you getting the beta client (Allegiance.exe) from? The sticky? Look at mad's link.
Once you download that .zip where are you unpacking the new Allegiance.exe to?
You SHOULD NOT be over writting your regular allegiance.exe !!!!
If you read the sticky and ran the beta installer that will have created a different folder for you for the beta. This is where you need to place the updated client.

It is this updated client you need to double click on to start the beta Allegiance without ASGS.

Right click Allegiance.exe, select Properties, select the Version tab, highlight Product Version, what is the Value? If it is NOT 1.01.00.101206 you are trying to launch the wrong client.

Well if you have Allegiance_highres.exe you have the wrong version and you got the wrong zip (well as of a few days ago). The zip contains the file call Allegiance.exe, and has since last Tue I think. I suspect your problem was you didn't rename Allegiance_highres.exe to Allegiance.exe...

I just updated the .zip to the latest, you can give that a try and not mess around with renaming things. The zip only has one file in it, Allegiance.exe. Replace your beta Allegiance.exe with this DO NOT replace your regular Allegiance.exe. If you don't know which is where, look at your registry keys, if you don't know how to look at those post here and we can step you through it. You do not want to mess up your registry keys, so don't edit anything unless you know what you are doing.

ASGS is currently turned off, so just launch the beta Allegiance.exe directly.

It should report "FAZ R3 Build 061022"
