Is this a bug?
I have dual display running and would like to keep Alleg windowed for right now if possible.
Selecting Window Mode doesn't window
I have discovered that on my system, if I run it in dualview mode, putting Alleg in windowed mode ends up with Alleg in a maximized window (on one screen) with only the lower-left 800x600 being used. This occurs in r2 and r3. I can get a screenshot if you need clarification.
Try launching Alleg in windowed mode (either with the windowed mode option in ASGS, or the -windowed command line switch if not using ASGS). I think it windows correctly then. But don’t put it into fullscreen, or it will glitch on you again when you put it back into windowed.

Hmm, I run dual monitors (ATI drivers, Radeon X800). But I use 'extend' desktop instead of 'stretch' desktop across monitors as I run two different resolutions on each monitor.
I can maximize, minimize, and window Alleg without issue. Just make sure you have the color depth set to 16bit.

Looking into it. Apparently there are a bunch of short cuts that only work if a 16bit pallet is assumed. I've commented out the check for 16bit before allowing windowed mode, it works, but all the colors are messed up. So underlying code will need to be changed, it is not just a simple fix unfortunately.noodleNT wrote:QUOTE (noodleNT @ Oct 16 2006, 11:48 PM) AHHHH that 16bit color thing! Lets get that fixed too. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
