So we just finished up this epic game of Giga (Nuke) vs IC (Kap). Lasted 1h 52mins. 1.25/1.15/normal settings. Sliver map - the one with the annoying side alephs and most sectors in two middle rungs. ~25 vs 25 at the end.

To start off I go sup, Kap decides not to risk it and goes sup. Lots of miner killing by giga slows IC down enough so they don't get adv tech until 35ish minutes. By then we are losing all our lt bases to dis2 so I push an exp con mid next to IC sup. Pretty standard game at this point.

Then things get interesting. We lose all our miners somehow to gat1. So sick of buying miners we payday tp2, fig bbrs and all tech needed to win, or so one would think. IC during this time was equally poor with Voltan/Fwiffo/etc disrupting their mining. So Giga tries some tp2 runs and they fail miserably. We had 12 fig bbrs on our first run and they got slaughtered because we could not afford cruise booster lol! Eventually IC buys a 2nd sup and pushes it next to our exp. We tp2 some more, kill their 2nd sup eventually. But our tp2 scout decides to rip home instead of getting the 10 pods. IC take this opportunity to tp2 our sup from our home (nice decoy) and get it because our tp2 scout failed to get pods. So he was booted.

After we lose our sup and IC has lost its backup sup there are only 2 carb rocks on the map left. One by our home which we plan to take with new sup. Kap sends op/tp con to this rock and tp con dies. Op con plants. We send our sup anyway with 20 people on it. The sup con makes it to the rock and the con plants. Cheers all around for planting a sup con next to an enemy op, right? NO! They were galving the rock this whole time but the con is in the rock and build sphere has nearly engulfed the entire rock when someone on blue shoots an ab at the rock that is 90% covered in a build sphere and KILLS THE ROCK WITH THE SUP CON IN IT. Apparently, rocks can die until they are 100% covered by the build sphere. Go $#@!ing figure. We got robbed.

So now there is only 1 carb rock left, in the enemy home. We only have starbase tech - giga starbase tech. So patties and scouts with gat1 vs gat3 dumb3 adv IC figs. So what do we do? We buy a 3rd sup con and send it to the enemy home. While its walking there we tp1 the enemy home and somehow kill an IC starbase with ab1 and tp1. Freaking miracle. So we send sup con a minute or two later but somehow, they kill it, as its lining up to plant. :glare:

Most teams resign after losing 3 sups and are left with only giga garr tech. But no! Not my awesome team. We decide since tp1 worked so well vs adv gat3 dumb3 figs before, why not do it again? We drop tp1 as blue rushes our home with a bomber and some fig bbrs that almost all die on prox (I went from a 28kb to a 38kb off 1 scout load of prox). Meanwhile 90% of our team is ripping to this uneyed tp1 which was dropped on an aleph 2k from the enemy sup. Fwiffo's bomber crew plus a dozen nans summarily blow the enemy sup with GIGA GARR TECH. GG.

I wish Serb posted in rants because it was hilarious listening to him bitch about patties killing adv figs. Fwiffo also summed it up quite nicely: QUOTE 07/11/09 15:19:08: Fwiffo@BS (all): in my almost one year of playing alleg, that was prolly the best game[/quote]
Great job yellow :D

-----

TL;DR = Giga Garr tech > IC Adv figs with gat3, dumb3.

On a map with 2 sectors to the enemy home (Silver is just a vertical variation of HiHigher) You go IC Sup?

No wonder kap lost.

He left some vital info out.

1st I did a deversion tp2 drop for one of our sup runs. I had 2 figbeees rip to touni and killed the home tele. This was vital cause it setup the following killing of the garr.

2nd I was the one who suggested killing the garr so we could put in the sup:) So I took a tp1 back to Touni and droped again on the aleph. The whole team listened to Nuke and we went in and killed the garr.

Sadly we lost 2 sup cons while this was going on.

But as nuke says, Tp1 killed a garr why cant it kill a sup:)

So again I loaded another tp1 went back to touni and did another aleph drop. Sup was 2k. 4 adv figs that I saw vs 11 nans and 1 bomber. 11 nans win.

GG Nuke.

We went from winning to losing to winning in maybe 15 minutes

yeah killing their garr tp was important. Lack of probes in touni made blue loose and our teamwork was $#@!ing awesome. We tried so hard that we even podded AdvFigs with our basic patties. :D

Sounds like an awesome game, in a slightly stupid "wait, you telling me we had zero probes there again???" way.

Anybody save the scores? I'd like to see the results of those patties vs. adv figs fights
