It'll take even less for me, but I'll still dump my coin-purse of knowledge on ya.Youngmoose wrote:QUOTE (Youngmoose @ May 15 2009, 08:43 AM) If you see me ingame hit me up, and I can spend a while teaching you what I know. It won't take long.

Don't find fault, find a remedy; anybody can complain.

Just know that you will never find vets on the newbie server.Podersky wrote:QUOTE (Podersky @ May 15 2009, 01:39 PM) All OK now, old players took me into game too (thanks). But i would like to play with newbies too, for expierence. I will try to sit in newbie server some time, maybe that helps :-).
It's much better to play in the general server. You'll learn faster. And you can ask more questions. Would you rather get an answer from someone who has been playing as long as you, or someone who has been playing 20 times as long as you?

After we decided the -no vets allowed on the newbie server- rule, the newbie server died. When i was a little bit younger i liked that place where i can just fly arround randomly. I don't know but i think it was a nice place to learn the basics of commanding for some vets.(howto buld cons and how to org miners)
Most of the vets on the newbie server were idiots, but it can be useful to "get whored with professional advice" instead of making the same experience in the main game.
In the last weeks i noticed on several occasions that if there's a large battle the newbies are attacked first, killed first.
I noticed also 1 "newbie jumper" who sits in base on F3 and whenever he sees a newbie he jumps out of the base and kills him. He doesn't leave the base for vets that are sneaking to the miners. Do you need a good kill vs ejects ratio that bad?

Maybe lexaal meant, since the highest rank allowed was lowered to a 4 or whatever it is now. It used to be higher, and the newbie server got a lot more play back then. I definitely remember when I first joined, there were almost *always* a few newbies on the newbie server; now there almost never are any.
