I've already sent messages out to attempt to see if we can make the cores complimentary rather than competing.

Example being keep the cores within playability of each other (IE no vast differences), vary the factions between cores (IE, Raptor gets X, DNR gets OH, etc), and the like.

The only question is will people cooperate with it. I hope they will, as it will make things a lot easier on everyone, it adds diversity, and it doesn't have us dropping into the "Core Wars" mentality.

Drop the Core war mentality. I've always been a core dev weather its Warpcore or whatever, I just love creating things which are fun. Nuff said.

Yes, it needs a different name, if you're going to build off of DN and do your own thing with it. DN is the core which Noir administers and releases.

Anyway one day, many years from now when we have learnt how to externalize everything into XML files (or something like that) we shall have a core with every faction!! So Andon's words seem best to me, have a bunch of cores with different factions so if you wanna play OH, play Core X, Faction X, play Core Y, blah blah.

As long as they're not grossly imbalanced I see no problem, although I would question why you would want to make a core that is "a balanced" version of the DN/CC type cores. CC_03 is fairly balanced, there aren't any serious problems, what would be nice is a Squad Game core that makes certain factions (like Giga) more competitive and balances out the techpaths so there is less weight on Exp.

The only thing I think it's unbalanced in cc_03 is tf late game.
