Well, yeah, it was mostly me getting podded--and everyone knows what that looks like. It happens a lot...

neotoxin wrote:QUOTE (neotoxin @ Jan 20 2009, 08:20 AM) I told everyone to enter. The base was 2k from the aleph, and w/out even being pushed I would have been at that damn exp in 3 seconds despite camp due to lt boost. If everyone would have entered when I said to enter, that exp would have died, game would have been completely different. But alas, I was the ONLY one that actually went, and died instantly.

Too bad, lawson, your uber l33t video editing skillz doesn't show you basesitting up until I got to the aleph (yeah, I was watching F6 the whole time seeing who I needed to boot but then chose not to boot because of what was at stake). And then, you claim I "outrun" my nans even though I had most on me - you know, the ones who weren't basesitting. So I apologize if you think I outran you, but maybe if you'd get out of base and on the bomb run soon as I said "I need fignans I'm launching" then I wouldn't have outran you.
Easy there! Didn't mean to hate on you. I joined at the 15+ minute mark and spent a lot of time trying to get my mind wrapped around the situation. Been out of game too long, totally brain-lagged. Just wanted to show a "DOH!" moment.

My basesit was Alt-tabbing out to the desktop to try and get Fraps unhosed. Turns out that Fraps does NOT like resolution changes and crashes out of Alleg if you're capturing in the lobby then get accepted into game. The swap from 800x600 to 1400x900 blew it's little mind!

Anywho... nans that don't go through WITH their bomber can sabotage a run. Been there, done that, got the verbal scathing "WHERE WERE YOU?!?" diatribes.

I'm getting slow in my old age...

I thought fraps did that to me and me alone. But then again I stopped trying to frap my games because I got a deviantly high FPS rate of 10.

ok,while we are on it.Bomber piolts: Please don't camp 2 inches from the aleph and stop there. The nans can't tell if you're going and don't have enough time to react.Seven or eight hundred K is about right. ;)

Turrets can reach 1000m, 1250m, or 1500m depending on turret type.

If I'm camping an aleph, I always camp at my turret's distance so that I can maximize the time I have to rip out in case I see a sudden rush.

If the comm yells "GO!" sure it takes a few seconds for me to get to the aleph and go through adding lag, but that's not a big deal since it also gives your nans the same amount of time to realize you're going in and catch up/stick with you.
Reaction time takes time.
