If you're willing to let us help you, we can get you connected. I can't remember anyone who gave up this easily. Since everything is up and running yet you get a time out while trying to connect to the server, this tells us you are being blocked. Plain and simple. No rocket science here, however we must go one step at a time to eliminate the possibilities that might be blocking that connection. 99% of the time it's a 3rd party firewall or the remenants of one left over after uninstalling. Norton has a cleanup tool that MUST be used even after uninstallation in order to completely remove their software. It could be your linksys router blocking that traffic.Lunar_Wolf09 wrote:QUOTE (Lunar_Wolf09 @ Jan 21 2009, 06:21 PM) OK guys i tried all the suggestions.......... still no go on the server........ thanks again but i just dont see any other answers to this one. i replaced the artwork file... i did the critical repair and tried to hardline (either cable) the computer but nothing works. thanks again guys if u got anymore suggestions i will keep checking an keep workin at it ive played allegiance before (Couple years ago) it is an awesome game XD and i want to play again.... if nothing else im getting a new computer in a couple months so maybe that one will work
If you give up though, it's a 100% guarantee you'll never play the best game in space.

I had a similar problem while using Vista when I first started playing. It ended up being a software-firewall problem. Vista and Allegiance work fine together.
The helpline guys here are topnotch and will get you up + running if you let them.

- Try connecting to the lobby with your laptop, if you own one. (Be aware of linking, if you borrow one) If it works outside your home net, but does not inside, the router is the problem
- Try changing the UPNP settings on your router. If it is on, turn it off, if it is off, turn it on.
- Use a cabled connection to access the net
- Check if you have any port forwardings active, that could be in the way.
