Today, though, right before I posted, I started a regular game, tried it and it worked, then went to a beta game and it didn't work. After that I went to a regular game again and it still worked there
When using my joystick, it functions just fine. It also functions just fine when connected through the same hub

I'm having the same problem zdude was having on the first page. I open up AllSrvUI and click the Start Game to start a private game, and the server throws an exception. I have NO IDEA how to use FileMon to monitor only one directory... As far as I know, since I'm only trying to run LAN games, I don't need to create any registry keys, correct? I've copied the client Artwork directory into the Server artwork directory, but I'm not sure what to do with the beta artwork.

On R4, I didn't have to type a core name into AllSrvUI. Do I have to do that now?

Thanks!

Yes, you have to type a core into AllSrvUI

* NOOB ALERT xD *

Hmm. I tried typing "static_core" but it still gave the same error.

Dunno if it'll help, but here is the log message:

Thanks for any help...

EDIT:

Sorry, my stupidity caused this... I forgot to check the registry entries. Since I installed Allegiance to an external HDD, the registry should've pointed to E: instead of C:. Darn those defaults. :)

Thanks, and sorry for disturbing. KEEP WORKIN'.

I guess the intel integrated chipset problem hasn't been fixed yet? :(

No it hasn't and at the moment there is no one to fix it either. Doofus is apparently swamped and no one else on the dev team has expressed any interest in fixing it (possible because it is outside of their coding expertise which is the case for me for this issue).

I am using an intel integrated and had a couple random crashes in R5 beta last night. It also seems to have some graphics glitches when I am around a base model, or an asteroid. Is this the common problems that people are having with that type of graphics card?

I wish I knew the first thing about coding (my nerdiness presents itself in other ways) so that I could help with testing, but I am clueless. Was just wondering if my problems are the status quo, or if there is another issue i am having.
If more of my system details are needed, I will have to add them when I am home with my crapto....err.....laptop.

So you are able to start Allegiance at all?

It could be me failing to get R5beta up properly, after all. Do the R4 alpha gfx engine and the R5beta require the same d3dx9_30.dll to run?

Oh yeah, I am able to launch Allegiance. As a matter of fact Xeretov and I were on beta for at least an hour or more last night with the acceptions of me dropping a few times. The drops almost seemed random, not necessarily triggered by anything. The only thing that seemed as a common denominator was that it appeared to be when I was on the load out screen in base.

The graphics issue appeared to be constant, as I noticed it as soon as I joined NOAT. There was a glitch in the player list background, along with what I mentioned earlier. I would have taken screenies to show, but when I alt-tabbed (almost forgot to mention) I was unable to move my cursor (both mouse and touch pad). I would have to launch beta, take a screenie, close beta, paste screenie, and then launch it again. It was late, eyes were red, I logged off.
