Windows Version (and Service Packs): XP SP2
Installed Mods: BBLean 1.16
.Net 1.1 [x]
Service Pack 1 for .Net 1.1 [x]
Hotfix for .Net 1.1 [x]
Drive Allegiance is installed on: C:

ASGS gets reliably stuck on closing down. Says 'Exiting' in the status bar. I can kill the process, no biggie. Just letting you know.

I'm running BBLean 1.16 instead of Explorer as my shell. Most obvious culprit, but ASGS is the only program that can't seem to shut itself down.

bad boy.

Fill in the template found above in the Read Me First.

You didn't tell us how much RAM you've got, what Antivirus, Firewall, other software running in the background,...etc.

Cause you have something eating up your memory resources.

Sometimes its your hardware, over heat,...etc.

So just fill the template FTW. ;)

Um, does that mean you fixed it? If so, please share the solution for the benefit of generations to come ;)

QUOTE Um, does that mean you fixed it?[/quote]I don't rightly know. It either means I'm too high stuck up on my horse to be arsed to explain that I actually *did* post the relevant bits of the template (and amsunaakage should be considered lucky I don't flame his condescending arse), or that I found out it infact is the shell replacement - or plugins thereof - and I'll live with it.

You call that relevant bits of the template. and you think these relevant bits of the template will help us help you out.

Were you expecting someone would post you a 10000 lines topic on "What causes applications to freeze" ??
===============================================================
Again please note that it could be something as I explained causes Alleg to freeze. I thought I made myself clear  .

-Does it take you some time to run the game ?
-Does other games do the same ?
-Does some applications also freezes either on running them or closing them?
-Is your computer slow in general ?

Jonan.... EVERY bit of the template is relevant. There are some funny interactions that happen between some programs sometimes, especially AV/Firewall programs. If you have a lower amount of ram, that could also be part of the issue. The Template is there for a REASON. It has proven to be useful countless times. People have done stuff like this, posting what they think is the relevant parts, and gone weeks without finding an answer. When they posted the entire template, they have had the same issue resolved in a matter of hours

I know what Jonan's talking about, maybe. ASGS isn't freezing though, try disconnecting the internet and then it goes to the check your internet connectivity message. So it might be an internet problem between you (me) and ASGS server.

Jonan, the template is there for a reason: to help us help you. The better you provide us with information, the better we can analyse it. (I thought only the newcomers had problems with this concept, not "older" players.
