Preamble
I know I'm going to get atleast 15 $#@!ing tools that will come in here and say SUP IS NOT OVERPOWERED. So I'm going to label it clearly here. Sup is not overpowered I just believe it is scaled incorrectly in relation to the other two tech paths in terms of team sizes. If you come in here with this argument, I will PM google map directions to Sweden where you may get a brain transplant.
While their fighters may lack the stopping power of interceptors, and the mysticism of stealth fighters (and there is a certain mystique about being killed by that which you can not see), advanced supremacy contains the most destructive end-game capability in the game, for teams of 20 and up. I would just like to know what you all feel about end game sup on a few topics. You do not have to answer them all, but I would prefer variety in the answers (don't want 50 of you to answer about 1 thing).
Does it make sense that Sup be given their tools of mass destruction to compensate for weak combat ships? (That aren't even weak once certain tech is purchased)The power of galvonic blasters increases exponentially with the amount of players in the game, should they be nerfed like XRM?With the decline of XRM as a super power, Fighter/Bombers are the new "unstoppable" end game. Should they cost more, inline with the old price of XRM (Maybe increase Fighter/Bomber prices to 10000?)Should the end game of Expansion and Tactical be given additonal branches, much like Advanced Supremacy has two different directions that may be taken? Is it fair for sup to be so weak in a small game, and then so incredibly strong when they have numbers?
On the last topic, Advanced Supremacy has multiple methods of clearing bases off the map. Primarily galvonic blasters. Secondary branches off into two directions with Heavy Bombers and XRM Anti-Base missiles, and Fighter/Bombers with SRM Anti-Base missiles. For the most part, both of them have the same destructive range. In terms of expansion and tactical, they only have 1 direct method of removing bases. They are heavy troop transports and stealth bombers, respectively. The Nerve Gas stealth bomber is a clever idea, but it fails on execution (the signature is pretty damn high). More variations like that would add more flavour to ending the game, in my opinion atleast. But this isn't all about my opinion.
What's yours?
Edit- Some afterthoughts.
It can be noted that the only teamwork portion of Supremacy comes with bombing early to mid game, before your advanced end game tech is ready. No other tech path has watered down the teamwork portion of their end-games to the point where it simply requires you to hop in a ship and point merely in the right direction and press a button once you get within range. Expansion requires a fair bit of team orientation in order to capture a base in a large game, and Stealth Bombing requires you to have a brain, not simply cloak and go.
Game Scaling
Being one of the top commanders in the game today, it is my view that sup is NOT overpowered
I'm sorry I don't remember any of it. For you the day spideycw graced your squad with utter destruction was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Sunday

My apologies.
Exp has the chance for pulses to D miners.
Tac is cheap on early econ destruction.
Sup tec fpr ending game vs. tac or exp is pretty hard.
WTF u think sup is overpowerd ???
How often do i see xy faction vs IC hvy ints - just getting raped - u cant camp bases with advs figs the same way u can with ints.
Sup is not weak - but far from overpowerd even if u have fig bbrs and xrm bbrs and tp2.
Sneak a tp2 vs pulses or advs sfs... u need much brain, skill or luck...
rix sbs - wtf u need luck. htts as bios - oh dear - dont tell me sup is overpowerd.... it takes a lifetime and much hard work to get the tools to finish it vs . a clever exp team or a clever tac team...

Drizzo is right, the larger the game is, the more powerfull sup gets.
Just play a large game (zonegame), there is no way not to go sup.
Tac/Exp are much slower at response time (you need much time for setup runs) and much more intensive on manpower (SB/HTT has to hide, people can't defend while on run).

The history of open-source Allegiance is paved with the bodies of dead code branches, forum flame wars, and personal vendettas. But a community remains because people still love the game.
LOL. I love ppl who say that TP2 is so hard. The fact of the matter is that there is alot of division of labor for TP2. You only require 1-3 scouts to do it and does not tie down the team until the actual attack. Meanwhile if a HTT is successfully going to make it, it has to be accompanied by the escort from the getgo. You can't just rip an entire attack in using soly Tac or Exp. Deprobe runs... rally the cats.... clear the aleph... etc etc. With TP2 and hvy scout: run/hide at high speed and find the right time/position to drop the sucker.
IMO, the real problem is not SUP per se.... it is the ability to dumb spike any bbr run. Mass enough players and you will be invincible to any bbr run regardless of the number of nans and ints escorting them. Thus in large games, there is no way for EXP to successfully attack sup unless something seriously goes wrong as the HTT will also die to a dumbspike (but at least it has lower sig). Perhaps a mini-galv for ints is in order for EXP? Make it much effective and maybe even more costly than the original sup version.

Just to reiterate, because so far only PKK has hit the nail on the head
We're just looking at the strength of supremacy in a large game.
All tech paths are capable of bomber spiking, none can do it as efficiently as Sup can however. Tac requires the bomber to be targetted by everyone and even then hunters aren't as CM resistant as dumbfires. Expansion requires 3 competant pilots to ram the bomber 1 after the other at full speed while everyone else pummels it with mini fire.

Shiz, spidey, me, and champy (whom I don't think was in on it, I think he seriously misunderstood the preamble
) have yet to receive our PMs.
